The Luv for classical french furniture

Moissonnier is a french furniture company that makes wonderful classical french furniture . I for some reason love the classical furniture , but what I like about Moissonnier is the blend of colours they bring to the classics.

Moissonnier started way back in the 1880s and now its one of the most known cabin makers in europe with their amazing classical pieces of furniture bringing the classical french design to another level with those vibrant colours .

Who says we cant bring back the classical furniture that was once part of our heritage into the future with more fun upbeat colours , here are some amazing pieces of the Moissonnier furniture that I would love to share with you :

Canopy Beds

Canopy beds were first used in the medieval period , but by the 16th century , kings and queens all slept on canopy beds which were covered with a fabric to give the bed a more luxurious and a glamorous look & feel .

Definition :

A canopy bed is a decorative bed somewhat similar to a four-poster-bed. A typical canopy bed usually features posts at each of the four corners extending four feet high or more above the mattress. Ornate or decorative fabric is often draped across the upper space between the posts and a solid swath of cloth may create a ceiling, or canopy directly over the bed (Wikipedia).

Canopy Beds were covered with fabric , but nowadays they are more modernized by keeping the post visible which gives a more modern feel , also some beds are made of steel , wood or mirror depending on what you prefer , if you would like to have a canopy bed , consider your room to have a spacious feel to give the bed its visibility , also choose what time of bed finish you would like according to your theme .

The love I have for italian furniture is unlimited , and one of my all time favourite is cantori .

The Glamorous Porter's Chair

 Porter's chairs originated in 16th-century France , Is a fabulous piece of chair that attracts anyones attention.

Its a very classical chair that has been modified and modernized into fabulous & colourful pieces which is used in any space  , the hight of the chair and the significance of it makes it a valuable piece of furniture to be used in a living room or a dinning area whether its a private or public space .

The Porters Chair is starting to grow on me ever since a saw a piece in I.D Design a while ago .
