The colour Taupe

Lately I have been obsessed with the colour taupe , the grayish brown colour is one of my favorite at the moment , I love the combination of grey and taupe .There are so many different types of taupe , but what makes it stand out is the nudeness feeling it brings .

Taupe can be mixed with either cold colours or warm , because its a blend of both grey and brown , it also goes well with gold and sliver , I guess because of the summer heat and the very hot weather I am thinking of this color to cool me down .

I love seeing taupe used as a wall paint , it brings warmth to the space its a very natural color , earthy tones are one of my favorites.

Hello Spring

The colours of spring Pastels , are very calming yet colorful , I love spring although we don't have it in Oman , but experiencing spring in other places is wonderful , you have the beautiful sunny days but the cold breeze still being around .

Pastel colours are the start of a sunny day , brings you joy & Happiness , think of easter think of summer , think of washed out colours thats pastel for you from the violet to the baby blue .

the main colours are : lavender , baby blue , mint green , apricot , salmon pink & many more lovely light yet colourful.

When deciding to use pastel always mix them with white , as the colour white brings the pastel to life .

How to use Pastel colours in an interior :

if you are a person who loves light colours and white , pastel is a right way to go , you dont have to use all the colours at once , pick a palette that you like and add a dominate colour to control the balance of the palette.

The Colour of winter Gray

Is it Grey or Gray , I always wonder , I end up using both , Grey is a calming colour to me , whether using the lighter gray or the darker shade .

Grey can compliment different colours and shades , you can also use different shades of gray in one space . Because grey can blend in ,using it with different colours or a particular  colour can make a huge contrast in a space .

The colour grey is a mix of both white and black , thats why it compliments whatever shade used around it  .

When using the colour Grey in a space make sure to add different colours along with it like yellows , reds .. etc

Having a space with only grey can sometimes make the place look abit boring to some of you .

Green is the colour of nature, It is a calm environmental colour , which

 can be mixed with different shades , as well as different colours .

It is part of the earthtone shade which I posted in my blog : Earthtones

Earthtones

Earth-tones

Recently Im working on a new project using the earth-tone palette .

I love earth-tone colours as it is compatible with my star sign ;)

So I wanted to share with you some interiors using earth-tones and what does these colours really do to  an interior space .

Earth-tones colours are usually subtracted from the nature of the earth , they are the colours which are found in dirt, moss, trees and rocks.

Earth tone colours are warm colours with the tones of brown involved .

Using earth-tone colours in such places like living rooms & foyers stimulates conversation , because they are warm colours that tend to give you comfort & makes you feel relaxed .

Tips:

Two options , whether to go cool or warm , using both the earth tones colours . 

I prefer the cool palette to be used to give a tranquil ambiance .

It also depends on what you are going for , when thinking of earth-tones always think of the finishes, what to be used , also apply the wood feel into your space it gives that warmth to a place .
