The colours of spring Pastels , are very calming yet colorful , I love spring although we don't have it in Oman , but experiencing spring in other places is wonderful , you have the beautiful sunny days but the cold breeze still being around .

Pastel colours are the start of a sunny day , brings you joy & Happiness , think of easter think of summer , think of washed out colours thats pastel for you from the violet to the baby blue .

the main colours are : lavender , baby blue , mint green , apricot , salmon pink & many more lovely light yet colourful.

When deciding to use pastel always mix them with white , as the colour white brings the pastel to life .

How to use Pastel colours in an interior :

if you are a person who loves light colours and white , pastel is a right way to go , you dont have to use all the colours at once , pick a palette that you like and add a dominate colour to control the balance of the palette.

Nieces Bedrooms

Hello Everyone , today was a great day applying wall decal at my niece wall , So Ive been working on both my nieces bedrooms , a full makeover & what I love the most is their reaction at the end of it all. 

My niece loves the colour purple so I have decided to change her room into purple and giving her a theme of nature by using a wall decal tree & adding some greens through the curtain , the bed was a custom made bed with a velvet headboard . Wall Decal application is easy , just follow the steps and you will get it all done in no time , make sure have some scissor , ruler , pencil and of course a measuring tape and some extra pair of hands ;)

The Romantic Shabby Chic

Going shabby chic for the summer ,  I always thought shabby chic is a bit romantic with the beautiful white linen and old furniture giving you that  summery romantic calm feel , the cottage style decor makes you feel the romance around you , doesn't it :P

Shabby chic is a trend that started in england symbolizing old furniture being all worn out , the use of vintage linen, lace and chandeliers , the love of vintage that alot of us do like ,  this vintage trend brings a bit of romance during the summery season.

To get that perfect shabby chic look , try using old furniture with light calming colours of whites , having a worn table on an old rug with big chandeliers will give you a shabby yet chic space.

Powder Me beautiful

 Hello there , I know its been a while since I have last posted , but been busy with different projects , anyways question what do you think of the powder room in your house ?! do they seem special , do guests feel wowed by them !?

a powder room or a guest bathroom is an important and a useful part of your house , guests who come and visit will use it and somehow it also makes your guests feel more welcomed .

its essential to have a powder room in your house , and to redesign it into something simple yet welcoming  for your quests and relatives .

Powder rooms are usually small bathrooms with a vanity and a toilet . When entering a P.R (guests bathroom) It somehow gives you the idea of the over all house , therefore  when thinking of a design for your P.R try using  different wall effects behind your washbasin to give it a lovely element ,whether its a mosaic tile or a stone wall or even a simple wall paper , I somehow love the long tall washbasins used in a powder room with a lovely mirror and some side lights would make the powder room most welcoming and enduring .
The purpose of a powder room is for your guests , so its a space that wont be used daily , you can easily play with the walls and the flooring , you dont have to tile it all up , you can have some fun with it by painting some walls and tiling others ;)
